Trash Bash

  • Date: 04/06/2024 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

The Keep Brevard Beautiful 41st Annual Trash Bash, held in conjunction with The Great American Cleanup, will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 8 a.m. to noon.

The City of Melbourne is seeking volunteers (children must be accompanied by an adult) to help clean up our community.

Participants will have the opportunity to earn volunteer hours and help with the mission to keep plastic and litter out of our vulnerable lagoon, ocean and other waterways. Breakfast, snacks and t-shirts (limited amount) will be provided. Please bring your own water bottle and dress appropriately for weather. If you own a kayak or paddleboard, Riverview Park is the perfect place to join the cleanup.

The City of Melbourne has nine site locations that volunteers can go to in order to participate:

  • Downtown Melbourne/Melbourne Main Street, 2004 Vernon Place
  • Ascension Catholic School, 2950 N. Harbor City Boulevard
  • Carver Community Park, 1092 Swan Street
  • Riverview Park (kayaks, small vessels, paddleboards only), 2400 Riverview Drive
  • Joseph N. Davis Community Center, 2547 S. Grant Street
  • Eddie L. Taylor, Sr. Community Center, 3316 Monroe Street
  • Palm Bay High School, 101 Pirate Lane, Gate #4
  • Paradise Beach at Howard E. Futch Memorial Park, 2301 Florida A1A
  • Southwest Park, 400 W. Florida Avenue

We’d like to thank all the volunteers who offered to be site captains at these locations. We couldn’t do it without your dedication!

If you, your family, church group, or organization would like to participate, please email adoptaroad@mlbfl.org or call Cheryl Caldwell at 321-608-5082 to preregister with the number of volunteers and site location of choice.
