Mimi Hanley was elected to office on November 3, 2020, and was re-elected on November 5, 2024, by the city at large to serve on the Melbourne City Council as the representative of District 5 (view map of Council Districts). Her current City Council term will continue until November 2028. She is a member of the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization.
