Special events that utilize Melbourne public streets require permits issued by the City Clerk's Office.

Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics

Date:  April 24, 2024

Hours:  The run will begin at 10:00 a.m.  and conclude by 11:00 a.m.   Pre- and Post-event activities will take place at Front Street Park from 9:00 a.m. through noon.

Road Closures:  A portion of Front Street, a portion of New Haven Avenue and the outside, eastbound lane of U.S. 192 Melbourne Causeway will be closed from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.  

Location:   The run will begin on Front Street, travel north to New Haven Avenue, merge onto eastbound U.S. 192/Melbourne Causeway and return via the same route. 

Parking:  There will be no fee to park in city-owned parking lots.
