Indian River Lagoon Day was held on Saturday, November 18, at Front Street Park. Many thanks to all who came and helped celebrate the Indian River Lagoon. The event featured environmental exhibitors, food trucks, music, arts and crafts, a bounce house, and games for children. Kids learned about fishing and received a fishing rod and gear at the Hook Kids on Fishing clinic, and gardeners constructed and brought home free rain barrels. The cities of Melbourne and Satellite Beach, the Brevard County Natural Resources Management Department and the Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program partnered to host the annual event.
