The City provides regular full-time employees with the opportunity to purchase short-term and long-term disability insurance through a contracted provider. This insurance is effective on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment or upon approval of eligibility following the annual open enrollment period. The premiums for disability insurance are solely paid by the employee.
